It is even possible that Moshiach will come only after the Resurrection of the Dead. * From Chapter Fifteen of Rabbi Shloma Majeski’s Likkutei Mekoros, Volume 2. (Underlined text is the compiler’s emphasis.)
Rebbi Yehuda son of Rebbi Simon said in the name of Rebbi Shmuel son of Rebbi Yitzchok: Who is Moshiach the King? If he is among the living, his name is Dovid, and if he is among the deceased, then it is Dovid [himself].
(Midrash Rabba Eicha 1:16)
If he is among the living: Meaning, if what transpires is in accordance with the view that the world of Moshiach precedes the Resurrection of the Dead… This is the opinion of the Sages who assert that there is no difference between the present world experience and the Messianic Era other than [no longer being] subjugated [to Gentile nations].
And if he is among the deceased: Meaning, if what transpires is in accordance with the view that the Messianic Era will take place after the Era of the Resurrection of the Dead… Indeed, it is even possible that Moshiach [himself] will come [only] after the Resurrection of the Dead (Y’fei To’ar; see there).
